Christmas Eve and Boxing Day invitations
For the days either side of the big one: Christmas Eve drinks, a pyjama party or hot chocolate before bed, and Boxing Day lunch with the leftovers, a long walk and the side of the family you didn’t see on the day.
Snowy village, Holly and tartan, Citrus and clove, Cocoa and mittens, Alpine chalet and Paper forest each have a Christmas Eve and a Boxing Day invitation in the same look. There’s also a label for a Christmas Eve box: new pyjamas, a book and a hot chocolate, opened the night before Christmas.

Planning Christmas Eve and Boxing Day
- Send them early in December. Plans for the 24th and 26th get made at the first family get-together of the season. Send yours in the first week of December, sooner if people are travelling.
- Keep Christmas Eve short with children. A family gathering needs an early finish (“4 to 7pm, home in time for Santa”), while a grown-up drinks party can simply say “until late”.
- Say what kind of Boxing Day it is. A sit-down lunch or a drop-in buffet? Say which, and if there’s a walk first, say so, so people bring boots.
- Mind the trains. Public transport winds down early on Christmas Eve, and much of the UK rail network has few or no trains on Boxing Day, so add parking details or a local taxi number.
- Make a Christmas Eve box. Print the box label on card, trim it and stick it on a shoebox or a wooden crate. Fill it with pyjamas, a festive film or book, hot chocolate and a treat for the reindeer.

Pick a designQuestions
- What is a Christmas Eve box?
- A box of small treats opened on Christmas Eve, usually new pyjamas, a Christmas book or film, hot chocolate and something for the reindeer, to make the evening special and help children settle. Our printable label turns any box into one.
- When should I send Boxing Day invitations?
- By the start of December. Boxing Day is when many people see the other half of the family, so the plans get made early.
- Can I make one invitation for both days?
- Yes. Change the wording to cover both (“Christmas Eve drinks and Boxing Day lunch”), or use a matching pair and send one for each day.
- How much are they?
- Your first design is free, then 99p each. With Unlimited at £5 a month, the Christmas Eve invitation, the Boxing Day one and the Christmas Eve box label are all included.
