Cookie swap, wreath workshop and Christmas craft invitations
For the hands-on side of Christmas: cookie swaps and baking afternoons, gingerbread house workshops, wreath making (with or without wine), ornament exchanges and painting parties, a stitch-and-sip craft night and children’s Christmas craft parties.
The wreath workshop designs are written so florists, cafés and makers can use them for paid classes as well as for friends at home. Add the date, the price per place and what’s included, then print them for the shop counter or share the image on Instagram and in the village Facebook group.
Your first design is free, then 99p each. Or every design for £5 a month with Unlimited.

What to put on a cookie swap or workshop invitation
- Set the cookie swap rules. Say how many to bake (“a dozen each, plus a few to taste”), ask everyone to bring a tin to take theirs home, and to label anything made with nuts.
- For a paid workshop, give the price and what it covers. “£35 per person, including all materials, mulled wine and a mince pie” answers the first three questions people ask. Add how to book and how many places there are.
- Say what to wear and bring. Wreath making means wet foliage and wire, so suggest old clothes and gardening gloves, or say that gloves and secateurs are provided.
- Explain the ornament exchange in a line. “Bring one wrapped ornament, take home another”, with a price limit, and everyone arrives with the right thing.

Pick a designQuestions
- Can a florist or café use these for paid workshops?
- Yes. Use them for your own events and classes, print as many as you need and share the image on social media. The only thing you can’t do is resell the templates themselves.
- How does a cookie swap work?
- Each guest bakes a batch of one kind of biscuit, everyone sets theirs out, and you all go home with a mix of everyone else’s. Ask for a dozen each plus a few to taste, and a recipe card if you like.
- Are there versions for children?
- Yes. The gingerbread house workshop and the children’s Christmas craft parties (Pinkmas village, Woodland Christmas and Sugarplum ballet) are written for little makers and their grown-ups.
- How much does a workshop invitation cost?
- Your first design is free, then 99p each, and you can print and post it as often as you like for your own events. Running a season of classes? Unlimited is £5 a month for every design.
