How to write a thank-you card

Name the gift: “Thank you for the beautiful blanket” means more than “thank you for the present”.
Say how you’ll use it, or what it meant: “It’s already her favourite for naps.”
Mention their part in the day: the speech, the dancing, the long drive to be there.
Keep it short. Three or four lines, a photo and your names are plenty.
For a children’s party, let them sign it themselves, however wobbly.
