Christmas dinner, brunch and afternoon tea invitations
For the gatherings round a table: Christmas dinner with friends or the whole family, a festive brunch, a Nordic-style winter supper, Friendsmas, and that very British treat, a Christmas afternoon tea with scones, mince pies and a pot of something hot.
Holly and tartan, Citrus and clove and Blue porcelain each come as a trio of dinner, brunch and afternoon tea in one look, so you can host all three and keep it matching. Some dinner invitations also have a menu and place cards to match.
Your first design is free, then 99p each. Or every design for £5 a month with Unlimited.

Hosting a Christmas meal: what to say up front
- Say what the meal is. “Christmas dinner with all the trimmings”, “a festive brunch” or “afternoon tea” tells guests how hungry to arrive and how long it will go on.
- Give an arrival time and an eating time. For a long lunch, give both: “Arrive from 1pm, dinner at 2.30pm”. People can plan the drive, and nobody walks in as the turkey’s being carved.
- Ask about dietary needs. A line such as “Let us know about any dietary needs when you reply” means the vegan Wellington is planned rather than improvised on the morning.
- Sharing the cooking? Be specific. Say what you need, “a side or a pudding”, and ask each guest to say what they’re bringing, so the table doesn’t end up with three cheeseboards and no sprouts.

Pick a designQuestions
- Is there a Christmas dinner invitation with a matching menu?
- Yes. Victorian carol, Patina & copper, Opera velvet, Plum and olive and Cross-stitch Christmas each have a Christmas dinner invitation and a menu in the same style, and most add a place card.
- Can I turn a dinner invitation into a lunch or a supper?
- Yes. Every line is editable, so “Christmas dinner” can become a Boxing Day lunch, a winter supper or a pre-Christmas get-together, with your own times and address.
- How far ahead should I invite people to Christmas dinner?
- For a meal in the week before Christmas, three to four weeks ahead. Family plans for the days around Christmas get made early, so the sooner the better.
- What does it cost?
- Your first design is free, then 99p each. Hosting a big one? Unlimited is £5 a month and covers the invitation, the menu, the place cards and the buffet labels together.
