Christmas card templates to personalise and print
Make this year’s card your own: a family photo framed in a hand-painted border, a memories card with two or three photo windows for the best bits of your year, or an illustrated greeting with no photo at all, from a Victorian street in the snow to a tree hung with jewelled baubles.
Every card has a front and a back for your message, and you can add inside pages to make it a folded card. Add your photos, change every word, then download a PDF to print or an image to send to everyone too far away for the post.
Your first design is free, then 99p each. Or every design for £5 a month with Unlimited.

Printing and posting your Christmas cards
- Choose the photo first. A bright, sharp photo where faces aren’t tiny works best, and landscape photos suit the landscape memories cards. Once it’s in, drag it with Adjust to choose what shows and use Zoom to bring faces closer.
- Print on card, at actual size. Use 250 to 300gsm matt or silk card if your printer takes it, and print at 100% (“Actual size”), never “Fit to page”. The A4 sheets put the front on one side and your message on the other: print double-sided, flipping on the edge the sheet names, then trim at the corner marks.
- Flat or folded. A flat card with a message on the back is quickest. For a traditional folded card, switch on the inside pages, print the outside and inside on either side of A4, then cut and fold at the dashed marks.
- Envelopes and postage. Most of the cards are 5 × 7 in, which fits a standard 5 × 7 envelope (133 × 184 mm) and goes by Royal Mail as an ordinary letter. Post them well before Royal Mail’s last recommended posting dates, which it publishes each year.

Pick a designQuestions
- Can I put more than one photo on a Christmas card?
- Yes. The Christmas memories cards have two or three photo windows, and the photo booth strip card holds a run of pictures. The family photo cards are built around one large photo.
- What size are the Christmas cards?
- Most are 5 × 7 in, portrait or landscape, which fits a standard 5 × 7 envelope. The photo booth strip is a tall 4 × 8 in. The full-size PDF also suits a print shop or an online printer.
- How many cards can I print?
- As many as you need. Once a design is yours, print it at home or at a print shop as often as you like, and send the image to anyone you can’t post to.
- How much does a Christmas card template cost?
- Your first design is free, then 99p each, and then the card is yours to print as many times as you like. Unlimited is £5 a month for every design, if you’d like the card and the party invitations too.
