Stained glass – boy’s First Holy Communion invitation
A tall Gothic lancet window in jewel-bright glass runs down the side of this First Holy Communion invitation, with the host and a golden chalice, ruby grapes on the vine and two sheaves of wheat. His name leads in a ruby script beside “First Holy Communion” in strong cobalt capitals, with the Mass, church, lunch and reply set out clearly in the column. A classic, handsome choice for a boy.
